For the next 7 weeks, starting on Monday 8/6, I am going to read a book called “Minimalism: Live A Meaningful Life” by Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus. I am reading one chapter a week (as suggested) and see where I end up. I want to invite you to join me for the next 7 weeks if it sounds interesting to you. Post what jumps out at you, I would love to compare notes!
Chapter 3 of Minimalism: Live a Meaningful Life
Relationships! “Your relationships are the most important of the five dimensions of living a meaningful life.
I have read through this chapter a few times and it was funning because last night this statement jumped off the page at me. So much in this chapter simply speaks for itself.
“The bottom line is that we all want to be loved. We all want to love. And we all want to have other people with whom we share out experiences.”
I thought the description of “past relationships” was interesting. “Living in the past is tantamount to driving using only the rearview mirror – eventually you will crash if you don’t know what’s going on in from of you.”
What has jumped out at you so far?
